Sepulchral Productions was founded in 1999 by Frozen Shadows singer Myrkhaal. The first ever Sepulchral Productions release came in July of the same year, in the form of Frozen Shadows' debut album “Dans les Bras des Immortels”. Two years later came the “Waging the War” compilation. After that period, Sepulchral Productions went into a dormant stage for a few years, while Myrkhaal and Frozen Shadows were busy negociating a record deal and preparing their second album. While Sepulchral Productions did not release any other album in this period, it still carried out its distribution activities.

In the summer of 2006, Myrkhaal decided that it was time to bring back Sepulchral Productions fully, and he started to look around for interesting groups to sign to his reactivated label. Since the Black Metal scene from Québec finally seemed to produce some interesting new groups, he decided to start there, and signed three of Québec's most promising new groups, namely Forteresse, Gris and Sombres Forêts. All three groups are set to release their debut album through Sepulchral Productions in late autumn/early winter, and hopefully this will be only the first wave of many more to come...
